Champlin Acupuncture

Restore balance by stimulating your body’s natural healing response

In the hands of qualified practitioners, acupuncture is one of the safest therapeutic interventions ever used by mankind, with a time-tested record of millions of treatments, virtually free of side effects.
Dr. Frank Fargas-Babjak, Medical Acupuncture, The Canadian Journal of CME/September 1999

Acupuncture has a long history of treating health problems of many kinds. As part of a healing practice referred to as Acupuncture at Team Heatlh Care Clinic ChamplinTraditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture has been used successfully for more than 2500 years.

The treatment consists of inserting fine solid needles into the skin at very specific points and left in place or manipulated for a specified time. According to principles of TCM, many health problems are the result of blockages in the body’s energy pathways; acupuncture treatments remove these blockages and clear the energy pathways, which balances the body and stimulates the healing process.

Modern research has shown that acupuncture elicits a complex set of responses in the nervous system that is effective in treating pain and a variety of other conditions. Today, acupuncture is offered by specially certified health care practitioners whose training combines principles of acupuncture with knowledge from the biomedical sciences, offering patients a safe and effective alternative to conventional drug and other treatments.
